Visit the Osage
Bringing Oklahoma’s Most Storied County to Life Online
MyMediaMatters designed and developed a modern, user-friendly tourism website for Visit the Osage, showcasing the region’s rich culture, attractions, and events. Built in Webflow, the site features an interactive map, dynamic event listings, and destination guides—giving Osage County a strong digital presence to support tourism and economic growth.
Challenge:
Osage County is one of Oklahoma’s most unique and culturally rich destinations—but its online presence didn’t reflect that. The existing tourism website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and lacked the functionality needed to engage modern travelers or support local tourism efforts. There was no clear path for visitors to discover attractions, plan trips, or connect with the region’s events and communities. The Osage County Tourism team needed more than just a refreshed look—they needed a website that could serve as the digital front door to the county, showcasing its history, culture, and experiences in a compelling and user-friendly way. Our challenge: Design and develop a modern, mobile-responsive website that could unify the region’s tourism messaging, inspire travel, and support long-term economic development goals—without losing the authentic voice of Osage.

Our Role: Web Design + Development

Our team built a custom website from the ground up with both aesthetics and strategy in mind. The site had to serve multiple audiences—potential visitors, local residents, event organizers, and business owners—while remaining easy to navigate, mobile-friendly, and scalable for future content.

Key Features Included:

  • Interactive regional map with clickable towns and attractions
  • Curated travel itineraries for cultural travelers, families, outdoor lovers, and history buffs
  • Dynamic event calendar and submission form to highlight local happenings
  • Dedicated pages for key destinations, such as Pawhuska, the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, and the Osage Nation Museum
  • SEO-friendly structure to improve search visibility and drive organic traffic
  • Built in Webflow for speed, design flexibility, and future ease of updates

We used immersive visuals, layered storytelling, and strategic calls-to-action to create a sense of place—and a sense of invitation.

🌍 Why It Matters

Osage County is home to some of Oklahoma’s most iconic travel experiences: from cowboy history to Osage Nation heritage, from Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile in Pawhuska to the wide-open Tallgrass Prairie. Yet without a central hub to tie it all together, much of that potential was getting lost.

This new website solves that.

By connecting visitors to experiences—and making it easy to plan a trip—the Visit the Osage site strengthens the county’s tourism strategy and equips local leaders with a powerful tool for economic development.

💬 The Outcome

Since launch, the site has helped Visit the Osage elevate its brand recognition, improve online engagement, and better serve local stakeholders. With a fresh platform that reflects the region’s authenticity, the tourism board is now positioned to expand its reach and tell its story with confidence.

Osage County has a story worth exploring. We’re proud to help them tell it online.
